Police in Bangkok fired water cannon , rubber bullets and tear gas at protesters.

Protesters demanded that Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha step down and the government be held accountable for its mismanagement of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prayut expressed concern about three dead bodies found in Bangkok's streets, as people died after not receiving Covid treatment in time.

Three dead bodies were found in Bangkok on Tuesday, with one left lying in the street for 12 hours.

A Thai female tourist sneaked out of Phuket during the 14-day quarantine period under the "Phuket sandbox".
