Tomorrowland, the go-to destination for EDM enthusiasts around the world, has now extended beyond its home turf of Europe to venture into Asia. Its debut edition in the continent will take place at the end of this year in Thailand, a country rapidly emerging as a hotspot for music and dance on the global map.

Tomorrowland Thailand debut edition: When and where?

The debut Tomorrowland Asia edition will take place from December 11 to 13 in the beach town of Pattaya. While camping on spot won’t be available at the festival, but shuttle services to nearby hotel accommodations will be made available by the organizers. Spread across 237 acres, the multi-stage grand festival is expected to attract a crowd of over 50,000 attendees from around the world, and particularly from across Asia.

    Ticket prices for Tomorrowland Thailand

As per the official website of Tomorrowland, the ticket prices for the debut Asia edition have been divided into two categories. If you opt for a single-day pass, it’ll cost you 5,100 baht, which converts to approximately Rs 15,000, irrespective of which day you choose to attend. If you go for a full festival pass, being referred to as the “full madness pass,” it’ll cost you 12,500 baht or Rs 36,000.

Tomorrowland Thailand complete line-up and ticket sale

The theme and line-up of artists expected to perform at the debut Asia edition of Tomorrowland hasn’t been officially unveiled yet. While the early registrations start this Thursday on January 8 itself, the general ticket sale is likely to start by the end of February once the theme and the full line-up are announced officially.

    Why Thailand?

Thailand is fast emerging as a key destination for music enthusiasts from around the world. Its native music festival, Wonderfruit, has begun to draw thousands of attendees each year. It was also the host of prominent international music festivals like Electric Daisy Carnival and Creamfields. It’s also a hot K-Pop destination as its capital city Bangkok was chosen as a stop on popular band Blackpink’s world tour last year.

Thailand isn’t just an experimental destination, but is all set to be a recurrent spot for Tomorrowland for the next five years, as per the agreement signed between the EDM festival organizers and the Thai government. Over the course of these five years, Tomorrowland is estimated to generate a revenue of 21 billion baht or over Rs 6,000 crore.
