Miss Mexico Fatima Bosch was recently called a ‘dummy’ and that too publicly by event organizer Nawat Itsaragrisil in Bangkok. She stood up for herself and raised her voice against the tasteless remarks. And now, the beauty queen has been crowned the 74th Miss Universe.
The journey has not been easy and people are now aware of the controversies that erupted during the contest. In one of her statements that surfaced, she said she would never participate in any of the events that would happen in Thailand. As per multiple reports, Miss Universe organizer Nawat Itsaragrisil called her a ‘dummy.’
Nawat Itsaragrisil files criminal complaint
Fatima wrote on Instagram while sharing a video from the ceremony- “Because every step you take leads to something greater, and fighting for your dreams while believing in yourself will always be worth it.”
But Nawat has a different story to tell. A post by Miss Universe Thailand, and MGI says- “We wish to reaffirm that Mr Nawat Itsaragrisil never called Ms. Fatima Bosch a dumbhead. What he said was ‘damage,’ which is clearly audible in the voice recordings that have already been widely circulated across various platforms.”
The sentence he said was: “If you follow the order from your national director you’re damage, if you not you can do it. I very happy and the good report will go to organise…’”
The statement continued, “Instead, she continued to falsely accuse him in multiple interviews, seemingly for personal gain and to justify herself throughout the competition—after which she was ultimately crowned Miss Universe, as everyone is aware.”
