Paul Wong Chee Meng, a veteran figure in Malaysia’s entertainment industry and founder cum CEO of Mega Star Arena KL, was killed following a traffic accident in Thailand
Wong, 56, known for managing concerts and entertainment businesses across the country, was highly regarded within the local industry.
Outside of work, Wong, the CEO of Mega Ultimate Sdn Bhd, was an avid superbike enthusiast, often touring internationally on his motorcycle.
Friends and colleagues have taken to social media to express their grief
One wrote on Facebook that hearing the news of Wong’s accident left them “with an indescribable sorrow”, highlighting how, despite his busy schedule, Wong always supported and encouraged those around him.
“His attitude, his spirit, and his resilience have always been an inspiration for me. Precisely because of this, I have been unable to calm myself for a long time since hearing the news,” the post said.

The family member’s post described him as “a visionary leader and devoted family man” who transformed Malaysia’s entertainment scene and nurtured numerous projects and talents.
He is survived by his wife, Fanny Chia, and their four children: Billy, Jacky, Monique, and Eason.
The tribute noted his lifelong love of music, including his skill as a piano prodigy, and his adventurous spirit that extended beyond his professional life.
“Whether riding with joy or exploring the world, Paul embraced life fully, with kindness, strength, and perseverance,” the family wrote.
