Bangkok, 17 June, 2022 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to invite all to the ‘Amazing Multi Surf Festival @ Songkhla’ event, which takes place from 17-19 June, 2022, at Central Festival Hat Yai in the southern province of Songkhla.

Offering plenty of ‘waves and wheels’ fun and action for festivalgoers, the ‘Amazing Multi Surf Festival @ Songkhla’ event will be held each day from 15.00-21.00 Hrs. The three-day programme includes multi surfing activities, extreme shows from professional skateboarders and surfskaters, mini games with prizes to be won, multi surfing experiences, DJ battle mashups, live music performances by leading Thai singers and bands – SPRITE + GUYGEEGEE + ESKIIMO and FITMIT x SIRPOPPA, as well as a local consumer and food fair.

Sports tourism is one of the key elements of the “Visit Thailand Year 2022: Amazing New Chapters” marketing campaign, and TAT is organising this ‘Amazing Multi Surf Festival @ Songkhla’ event under the Amazing Sports & Extreme Month programme. This exciting three-day event aims to promote and help develop sports tourism nationwide in Thailand, as well as highlight Hat Yai and Songkhla province as a sports tourism destination.

Songkhla, a very popular beach town on the Gulf of Thailand, has a wide variety of tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, and facilities to welcome sports tourists.

As the main government agency responsible for the promotion and marketing of Thailand as a preferred destination, TAT is working closely with all the concerned public and private organisations, including the Royal Thai Police and the Ministry of Public Health to ensure the utmost efforts to prevent any unfortunate incidents occurring on tourists and the local Thai people. Moreover, the internationally-recognised Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) standards are observed to help ensure the health and safety of everyone, both the visitors and staff.
